Jakob Zenzen is a professional drummer, musical director, and educator from Germany. He started playing drums at the age of nine and later studied Jazz/Pop at the Conservatory Maastricht, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in 2022 and his Master’s degree in 2024.
During his studies in the Netherlands, Jakob built a strong foundation as a working drummer — performing in theatre productions, TV recordings, musicals, pop shows, Big Band settings, jazz concerts, and countless live gigs across different genres.
Today, Jakob plays around 80–100 gigs per year and brings real stage, studio, and rehearsal-room experience into every lesson.
Jakob’s teaching is shaped by what really matters on stage: solid time, musicality, preparation, reading skills, sound, reliability, and confidence.
Whether you are just starting out or want to take your playing to a professional level, Jakob’s goal is to help you become a better, more musical drummer — step by step, with a clear plan and practical exercises that actually transfer to real playing situations.

Build your groove. Improve your technique. Play with confidence.
Jakob’s teaching philosophy
Drumming is more than playing exercises. It is about understanding music, supporting the band, developing a strong groove, and knowing what to play — and when not to play.
